About Me
I’m Catherine Abshire, CRC—an experienced executive coach, certified counselor, and founder of Sound Leadership Consulting. With over 30 years in leadership roles across healthcare, education, government, and nonprofit sectors, I bring deep expertise in coaching mid-level managers, new supervisors, and aspiring leaders.
In every leadership role I've held—from Director of Vocational Services at NYU Langone to Division Director at HRSA—I have supervised teams, managed hiring and performance evaluations, and led efforts to strengthen communication, engagement, and team performance. I’ve coached underperforming staff toward success, led departments through organizational change, and designed training programs that helped individuals and teams thrive.
My coaching is grounded in real-world experience and built around practical, empathetic support to help leaders grow confidently and create positive impact in their organizations.
